But have not watched any of them yet
What is a good starting point/other good films to check out. I think I would be inclined to enjoy films from the late 60's-70's mostly. I prefer nudity and violence if at all possible!
thanks!
THE HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD is an Amicus film, not Hammer.
VAMPIRE LOVERS is the only one of the three I really liked. FRANKENSTEIN AND THE MONSTER FROM HELL is just OK.
Regardless, you can't really go wrong with anything directed by Terence Fisher. He's still vastly underrated.
My favorite Hammer films are a little different from most:
I'll just type 'em as I see 'em on the rack:
CAPTAIN CLEGG (AKA NIGHT CREATURES)
CAPTAIN KRONOS
COUNTESS DRACULA
DEMONS OF THE MIND
THE DEVIL RIDES OUT
THE GORGON
THE NANNY
THE MAN WHO COULD CHEAT DEATH
QUATERMASS AND THE PIT
STRAIGHT ON TILL MORNING
X - THE UNKNOWN
Those are my favorites but you'll undoubtably get a very different list from just about everyone else.
I will admit that I enjoy the films from Tigon a bit more too...............
