| Exactly what the title says. It'd be a good place to see what others have and to ask them what's worth buying.

Whats this one like, any good. Ive got some Renee Harmon guides to making movies which are really interesting, full of ideas!!! I've seen some bum reviews of it, but it's pretty good. He uses his own experience with HEARTSTOPPER and takes you step by step through the whole creation process. It's been a long time since I've read it.

It's been a long time since I've read it. I'll have a look for it, ive been flittering around making mini movies for a while, i think its time to get one of the scripts filmed and took to a festival so every little bit helps!!! Managed to score an Arriflex BL 16mm, i just love the dirty grain pictures it produces. My mission=to bring back the exploitation independent zero budget movie. Cant go wrong if it turns out like DONT GO IN THE WOODS....ALONE! or LAST HOUSE ON DEAD END STREET for that matter. Got me Hell Up In Harlem comin tomorrow and Black Caeser arrived today. Thanks for the advice!!!

| Wow. That's a pretty cool camera. Impressive. I'm just working with digital at the moment. Still it isn't too bad, it's something for me to learn on. | |

Thanks for the advice!!! The book should at least be interesting, if not helpful to you. You can thank me after you watch BC & HUIH. You should really enjoy them, though. And if you're wanting to make high quality, low budge flicks Larry Cohen's commentary on both discs are a must listen/watch. Cohen's are the best! Some of the stuff the guy pulled to make his movies was in-fucking-sane! I'll just leave it at that for now, but do give the commentaries a go.I think you'll be glad you did.

| Yeah I'm just going to have to try get inventive with lighting I guess. A lot of indies ignore lighting altogether when they work on digital because they feel there is no point. You got anything you could show us? | |

You got anything you could show us? Yeah defo, leave it with me and i'll get the box's out and get some onto the hard drive....as back then we use to record straight on to vhs and fuck about with the video to video editing system (oh.....the memories are flooding back) We fancied ourselves (my mate who's got way more money than me) as the next Jörg Buttgereit and Daktari Lorenz, even tho they started out on 8mm, but we were young and didn't know what an 8mm was. Jorg to be honest , even though alot of people i meet aren't really a fan of his, i thought he was pretty inspirational for he was turned away by the Berlin Film School and still went out and put a stamp on one of the biggest bootlegged videos of the 80's. We were kindda like Alex Chandon and DRILLBIT!!!!
