The Children (1980)

Has anybody else seen this low-budget zombiefest from the Golden era?
A schoolbus of kids drives through a cloud of nuclear gas leaked from a
local plant. They shamble around the countryside until they see loved
ones - who they embrace with black-finger-nailed hands which turn the
loved ones into toast! Kinda unique in the zombie genre, and with a great
score by F13's Harry Manfredini, this one deserves more attention imo.

I've seen it many times on USA when I was a kid (usually alongside BUG) and never really liked it. Still, watching kids get their hands chopped off is worth the 90 minutes.

GREAT SCORE BY HARRY MANFREDINI?!?!?!?!?!?! That guy blowz. The music in this is so reminiscent of FRIDAY I find it utterly distracting. I prefer not to be reminded of that piece of shit...

I thought it had a cheap charm, and I like the downer finale.

Manfredini's score is VERY similar to F13, but it helps the film.
